There is so much information out there about wellness, health and self-discovery. Listening to industry leaders, professionals and other like-minded people discussing health and well-being can open new ways of thinking about the way you take care of your body, mind and soul. Podcasts are just one of many resources which tap into current topics and trends that can make a great impact on your daily life.

We’ve listed a few of our favourite podcasts below that touch on self-discovery, meditation, wellness, body & mind and parenting which we highly recommend listening to. Make a pot of tea, or pour a glass of wine and enjoy!


1. Goop

A weekly podcast from Gwyneth Paltrow and goop's Chief Content Officer Elise Loehnen chat with leading thinkers, culture changers and industry disruptors. This podcast opens up conversations and a new way of thinking on topics including wellness, women's health, spirituality, relationships, nutrition and more! Only 20-25 minutes per week, this a wonderful introduction to podcasts and a great listen whether you are in the car doing drop offs and pick ups or on a Friday night after a long week, our favourite is listening to it while having a nice warm bath with a glass of wine. 

Podcasts are great because they’re free and you can listen on your favourite platform.


2. Chakra Girl 

A weekly podcast highlighting the lives of today's influencer's to creating conversations about spirituality and modern-girl problems. A light, fun and inspirational take on modern spirituality. Amber Lee Lyons shares her insight on all things crystals, chakras, meditations and also balances it out with setting goals for business and life


3. Super Soul Conversations hosted by Oprah

An inspirational and touching podcast by Oprah which creates new discoveries and connections to the world. Hear her personal selection of her interviews with thought-leaders, best-selling authors, spiritual luminaries as well as health and wellness experts. This podcast supports and guides self-discovery and opens up a new way of thinking about life and spirituality.  Time: 30 min - 45 min long


4. Armchair Expert hosted by Dax Shepard

A funny yet informative and insightful podcast hosted by Actor and Comedian Dax Shepard which highlights topics about our society, health and well-being. He interviews industry professionals and celebrities which bring to light new ways of thinking and conversations to have. One of our most recent favourites is the Experts on Experts episode where he has a conversation with well-renowned child psychologist Wendy Mogel, PhD discussing children, anxiety and discusses raising our children with today’s societal standards.


5. Wellness Mama

A weekly series covering health tips, topics on holistic health, real food, stress, sleep, fitness, toxins, natural living, DIY, parenting, motherhood and more to help improve your family’s life. Recent topics include letting go of mom guilt and hidden elements in your home that affect your mood and health. A great informational podcast which goes deeper into topics about natural health and wellbeing and brings more awareness to health issues and environmental issues that could be effecting you and your family.


6. Kilter & Mint, Vancouver

A local Vancouver podcast with snapshots on storytelling, lifestyle, wellness and health. It includes topics about motherhood, health, fitness, women in business and interviews women within the local community to discuss how certain topics impact their life and well-being.


7. Live Awake, by Sarah Blondin

This podcast helps bring you back to your grounded center through reflection and guided meditation. Sarah Blondin has an incredibly soothing voice and remarkable ways to tune into your self and strip away all the worries from the day. At the end of each episode you are guided through a short meditation on the topic at hand. A perfect way to unwind in the evening after the kids go to bed with a cup of soothing tea and turning this podcast on and zone out.


8. The Thrive Global Podcast with Arianna Huffington

Arianna sits down with notable leaders, celebrities, athletes and influencers to learn how prioritizing well-being has made them happier and more successful. It offers insight and tools on how to create more balance in your life and go from surviving to thriving.
