This is a guided iPhone app aimed at making meditation accessible to everyone both new to meditation and who practices meditation regularly. Headspace's first 10 sessions are free, which are part of the app's "Basics" pack of guided meditations. After that, there is a choice to create a monthly or annual subscription or to continue with the free trial material.

Insight Timer is rated as one of the top free meditation apps. It offers guided meditations and talks led by the world’s top mindfulness experts, neuroscientists, psychologists and meditation teachers. This is a great app for both beginners and experienced practitioners.

Presented by Oprah Winfrey, Deepak Chopra, and Chopra Center Meditation, this app offers easy access to the complete online experience from, including your already purchased meditations. While this app isn’t a direct guided meditation app, its does allow you to listen to the meditations in your library, write in your personal journal, buy, stream, or download meditation programs anytime, anywhere. The soothing voice of Deepak Chopra will relax your mind and soul and take you into a deeper state of being.

This is not a meditation app per se, but after learning about Courtney Thomas, one of our Trybe Wellness Spotlight, listens to we had to check it out! It is now one of our top favourite’s. Sarah Blondin has an incredibly soothing voice and remarkable ways to tune into your self and strip away all the worries from the day. A perfect way to unwind in the evening after the kids go to bed with a cup of soothing tea and turning this podcast on and zone out.
